BK Logistic Limited t/a BK Movers – Terms & Conditions
Important Information – Please Read
1. Customer Assistance & Liability
If the customer or any non–BK Movers personnel assist during the move, BK Logistic Limited
trading as BK Movers will not be held responsible for any damage to items, property, or personal
injury that may occur during the process.
Children under the age of 16 must remain clear of all moving areas and must not assist with lifting,
carrying, or handling any items.
If any damage or injury occurs due to children being in the working area, BK Logistic Limited trading
as BK Movers will not be held responsible.
2. Heavy & Awkward Items
Extra charges apply for heavy or awkward items such as pianos, pool tables, or any item over 75kg.
Please inform us in advance if such items are part of your move so we can allocate the correct
equipment and staff.
3. Packing & Loose Items
The customer must ensure that all items are properly packed before the move.
BK Logistic Limited trading as BK Movers is not liable for any damage caused by loose or
improperly packed items.
4. Quote Basis
All quotes are based on the information provided by the customer.
Quotes exclude 15% GST unless otherwise stated.
This quote allows for a set number of hours. If the move takes longer than the estimated time, an
additional hourly charge will apply (minimum increment of 1 hour).
The Moving Team will always aim to move all goods in a single trip. However:– A second trip may be arranged for another day, OR– If possible, a second trip may be performed immediately, subject to agreement between the
customer and the moving team.
If items cannot fit in the truck, require additional equipment not included in the quote, or are deemed
unsafe to move, the company is not responsible for moving those items and may cancel the move
before or on-site.
5. Restricted Items
BK Logistic Limited trading as BK Movers cannot transport paints, gas canisters, flammable
materials, hazardous chemicals, or any dangerous goods.
6. Access, Parking & Stairs
The customer will notify BK Logistic Limited trading as BK Movers if there is no suitable or
convenient access at either location.
The Moving Team may apply an extra charge due to any access restrictions and will not be liable
for any goods damaged due to lack of such access.
Additional charges apply if there are stairs on the property — please inform us in advance.
7. Risk & Insurance
All moves are done at Owner’s Risk under the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017.
BK Logistic Limited trading as BK Movers is not liable for loss or damage unless caused
intentionally.
In the event of an automobile accident whilst in transit, damaged furniture is covered by the BK
Movers insurance provider.
For more comprehensive cover, the customer may arrange their own moving insurance.
Outside of automobile accidents, BK Logistic Limited trading as BK Movers is not liable for any
damage caused to goods during the moving process. Goods are moved at “Owner’s Risk”.
The company is not liable for any costs incurred by the customer due to delays caused by weather
conditions, road conditions, or truck breakdowns.
8. Termination of Service
The Moving Team reserves the right to terminate the move without notice if:– The team is endangered or uncomfortable due to aggressive or unacceptable behaviour by the
customer or others present, including threats, intoxication, indecent exposure, or aggressive
actions.– The work environment is unsafe, including but not limited to construction sites, open holes, or
poorly maintained stairways.
The company is not liable for any damages that occur to items during the move or any damages to
the property during the move.
